Spider Veins

No down time | 1-3 sessions required

Spider veins, also known as telangiectasia, are small, dilated blood vessels that appear close to the surface of the skin. They often resemble a web-like pattern or thin, red, blue, or purple lines. These veins are most commonly found on the legs, face (nose and cheeks), or other areas with thin or delicate skin.

The 980nm laser is a specialized medical device used for the treatment of spider veins (telangiectasia). This laser emits a wavelength of 980 nanometers, which specifically targets hemoglobin within the blood vessels, making it highly effective for vascular treatments.

How It Works:

  • Selective Absorption: The laser energy is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the spider veins without significantly affecting the surrounding tissue.

  • Thermal Coagulation: The absorbed energy converts to heat, causing the vein walls to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the body naturally reabsorbs the treated vein.

  • Precision: The 980nm wavelength is ideal for targeting superficial veins, ensuring minimal discomfort and downtime.

Blood Spots & Aniogmas

No down time | 1-3 sessions required

Blood spots, commonly referred to as cherry angiomas, are small, benign growths made up of clusters of dilated capillaries. They appear as round, red, or purple spots on the skin and can vary in size, from a pinhead to several millimeters in diameter. These spots are most commonly found on the torso, arms, legs, or scalp and may darken with time..

How It Works:

Vasular Laser:

The 980nm laser is an effective and non-invasive treatment for blood spots, commonly known as cherry angiomas. These are benign, small red or purple spots caused by clusters of dilated capillaries under the skin. The laser specifically targets the vascular structure of these spots to reduce their appearance.

What to Expect During 980nm Laser Treatment for Spider Veins and Capillaries:

The 980nm laser is a precise and non-invasive treatment designed to target and reduce the appearance of spider veins and broken capillaries. Here's a step-by-step overview of what to expect:

1. Pre-Treatment Consultation:

  • Assessment: The practitioner will evaluate your skin and vascular concerns to determine if the treatment is suitable.

  • Preparation: You may be advised to avoid sun exposure, blood-thinning medications, or certain skincare products (e.g., retinol or AHAs) prior to the procedure.

2. During the Treatment:

  • Preparation: The treatment area will be cleansed, and protective eyewear will be provided to shield your eyes from the laser light.

  • Application of Laser:

  • The 980nm laser delivers focused energy directly to the blood vessels.

  • The hemoglobin absorbs the laser energy, converting it into heat, which causes the vessel walls to collapse and seal.

  • Sensation:

  • You may feel mild warmth or a snapping sensation as the laser pulses, but discomfort is minimal.

  • A cooling device or gel may be used to enhance comfort during the procedure.

3. Post-Treatment:

  • Immediate Results:

  • The treated veins may appear darker, slightly red, or more visible immediately after the procedure, which is normal.

  • Over the following days to weeks, the veins will gradually fade as the body reabsorbs them.

  • Skin Reaction:

  • Mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity in the treated area may occur but usually subsides within 24-48 hours.

4. Aftercare Instructions:

  • Avoid sun exposure and use SPF 30+ on the treated area to protect your skin.

  • Refrain from hot baths, saunas, or intense physical activity for 24-48 hours.

  • Keep the area clean and avoid applying makeup or heavy skincare products for the first 24 hours.

  • 5. Results and Follow-Up:

  • Initial Results: You may notice improvement within a few weeks, though the full results typically appear after 4-6 weeks as the treated veins fade.

  • Additional Sessions: Depending on the size and severity of the veins, 1-3 sessions may be required for optimal results.

  • Maintenance: New spider veins may develop over time due to factors like aging, sun exposure, or lifestyle, but these can be treated with future sessions.
