PLEXR Plus

Plexr Plus is an advanced non-surgical treatment designed to address eyelid lifts, skin laxity, scars, moles, skin tags, and other superficial skin lesions. Utilizing plasma technology, it offers effective results without the need for general anesthesia and features a significantly shorter recovery time compared to traditional surgical methods. Ideal for those seeking minimally invasive solutions with optimal outcomes.

Plexr Plus Plasma Pen works by utilising a small electrical charge known as a plasma flash. This process works by dissolving the top layer of the skin without damaging surrounding tissue (known as sublimation).

Consultation & after care

Following a consultation to see if you are a suitable candidate for Plexr, when you return for the procedure numbing cream is applied to minimise any discomfort. Treatment time, including topical numbing cream, may be 20-60 minutes depending on the treatment area. One to three treatments may be needed for each area at 6-8 week intervals.

Plexr Plus delivers remarkable results clearly visible after just one treatment. Best results are usually visible from 14 days and 45-60 days being final result from that treatment session

.

Treatments usually last for 2-3 years, however can be repeated as needed as we naturally age.

Downtime 7-10 Days
Pain ●●●●○
Treatment Time 15 - 45 minutes (+30 minutes numbing cream prep)

Post Treatment Expectations

  • You should expect a swelling around the treated area, this is normal and usually subsides within 1 – 4 days after the procedure.

  • The treated area will have a light brown crust present. The crust will fall off after 5-10 days (for most patients), leaving pink skin. Any pink or brown (pigmented) small dots that may appear like a “dip” in the skin are completely normal within the first few months. These can occasionally persist for longer.

Post Treatment Aftercare

  • Do not use an exfoliating cleanser over the area.

  • Pat dry the treated area; you must NOT rub.

  • Do not apply plasters or cover the area.

  • Avoid exercise for 72 hours or until the swelling subsides.

  • Do NOT drink alcohol and stay well hydrated, during your healing period. If you smoke, we advise keeping this to a minimum – try nicotine gum.

Please note, the above aftercare is just a guide. Full aftercare advice will be given to you when you attend your appointment with us.

  • How long does a treatment take?
Treatment duration varies from 30 minutes - 2.5 hours depending on the area/areas being treated.
  • Is there any downtime, will I need to take time off work
Your skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. There is no downtime! You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements. Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin. As with any medical procedure, there is the possibility for other rare effects.
  • How many treatments will I need?
Your results will continue improving gradually for up to six months following the treatment. After six months, as with any age defying treatment, your skin will naturally continue to age but HIFU can give you fresher, younger looking skin for approximately 24 months after your treatment.
  • What does HIFU feel like, is it painful?
Some patients describe it as tiny electric pulses or a noticeably light prickly sensation. Immediately after the treatment, you may experience mild redness or swelling, which will gradually recede over a few hours.Treatment duration varies from 30 minutes - 2.5 hours depending on the area/areas being treated.

Yes, HIFU Treatment is safe. HIFU uses a safe, time-tested ultrasound, which has been shown to be effective in clinical studies with treatments performed on over 350,000 patients worldwide. Ultrasound has been used safely in the medical field for over 50 years. HIFU is one of the few treatments that is safe for all skin types, as it uses ultrasound and bypasses the upper layers of skin where the pigment is, and treats the area that requires attention.

No Sun exposure or sun tanning for a minimum of 7 days prior to treatment Avoid antibiotics or blood thinning medications 7-14 days prior to treatment No Omega3 or Chemical peels for a minimum 2-4 weeks prior to treatment No Laser or skin needling treatments done on the area for treatment for a minimum of 4 weeks Stop the use of “all-active” skincare products for a minimum of 4-7 days prior to treatment No Alcohol 2 days prior to treatment Start to drink a minimum of 2-3 litres of water a week in advance of commencement of treatment If you are a skin type IV-VI we will need to start using a melanin inhibitor (skin lightening products). • After there any side effects after a HIFU treatment?
Compared to a full Face Lift Surgery, there is minor down time and minimal side effects with 4D HIFU which makes it a great alternative to invasive and expensive procedures. You may look a little flushed and red after your treatment, but this usually settles within a couple of hours. You may experience mild swelling and tenderness, but again, these settle quickly and are a temporary side effect with 4D HIFU.
